THREE MEN ARRESTED AFTER WARRANT EXECUTED
(8/8/2006) NUMEROUS WEEKEND ARRESTS MADE
NEW HAVEN – Members of the New Haven Police Department’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit made three arrests last Thursday after they executed a search and seizure warrant at 358 Orange Street. The warrant service followed an undercover investigation in which detective purchased drugs from a man in an apartment at that address. Musa Hill, 33, of Hamden, was charged with possession of a narcotic substance, possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell, possession of a narcotic substance within 1500 feet of a school, possession of a narcotics substance with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school, and conspiracy on all four charges. Robert Tisdale, 59, of 358 Orange Street, was charged with two counts of sale of a narcotic substance, two counts of sale of a narcotic substance within 1500 feet of a school, possession of a narcotic substance, possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell, possession of a narcotic substance within 1500 feet of a school, possession of a narcotics substance with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school, and conspiracy on all charges. Johnny Reddick, 36, of 152 Read Street, was charged with conspiracy to commit sale of narcotics, conspiracy to commit sale of narcotics within 1500 feet of a school, conspiracy to commit possession of narcotics, conspiracy to commit possession of narcotics within 1500 feet of a school, conspiracy to commit possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and conspiracy to commit possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school. Police seized 14 bags of crack with a street value of $280, five packets of heroin with a street value of $50, approximately 9.9 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $700, a cell phone, and $2,263 in cash.
On Friday, 4 August, officers served warrants on the following individuals:
• Tyrese Washington, 22, of 70 Admiral Street
• Tyrell Royce Whitehead, 19, of 89 Woolsey Street
• Michael Santana, 20, of Hamden
In the area of 25 Townsend Avenue, Aaron Henderson, 24, of West Haven, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance within 1500 feet of a school, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school. Police seized $345 and five bags of marijuana.
David Carter, 21, of 508 Ferry Street, was arrested in the area of Lombard and Ferry streets and charged with possession of a narcotic substance, possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell, possession of a narcotic substance within 1500 feet of a school, and possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school. Police seized $445 and 15 bags of crack cocaine.
At 285 Whalley Avenue, a 17-year-old from New Haven was arrested and charged with possession of a narcotic substance, possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell, possession of a narcotic substance within 1500 feet of a school, and possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school. Police seized eight bags of crack.
A 17-year old male from New Haven was arrested in the area of 1 Cinque Green and charged with possession of a narcotic substance, possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell, possession of a narcotic substance within 1500 feet of a school, possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance within 1500 feet of a school, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school. Police seized 12 bags of crack and 20 bags of marijuana.
